Therefore, the appearance of the Volvo XC60 R-Design does not appeal to car enthusiasts at first glance, but for those who love Scandinavian simplicity, the XC60 R-Design is sure to make them happy.
In terms of design, the R-Design version of the XC60 stands out with a horizontal grille with rounded corners instead of vertical spokes like Momentum and Inscription versions. The Volvo brand logo is still placed diagonally on the grille similar to other models in the Swedish automaker’s family. The headlamp cluster has the ability to adjust the projection angle automatically, the LED fog lights.
The Volvo XC60 has a length x width x height of 4,643 x 1,890 x 1,712 mm, a wheelbase length of 2,774 mm. The R-Design version is equipped with 18-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels with 235/60 tires. However, using the “better wood than paint” style, the XC60 still ensures the key is to create a practical and spacious cabin for all 5 seating positions.
The Volvo XC60 R-Design’s cabin is simply laid out. 3-spoke leather steering wheel with integrated paddle sports paddle shifters. The center of the console is a medium-sized entertainment screen located in the pocket with Bluetooth connectivity allowing hands-free communication, a GPS navigation system, … Right below is the control key cluster that focuses most of the functions. Basically equipped on the car, but a bit regrettably this control cluster is still traditional style.

Sports seats are standard on the XC60 R-Design, upholstered in premium leather with subtle seams. The electric driver’s seat remembers 3 positions while the mechanical seats are adjusted. The second row of seats can be folded down easily to increase the storage capacity for the rear compartment up to 1,455 liters compared to the standard 495 liters. With a wheelbase of 2,774 mm, the XC60 owns a quite spacious rear compartment space, the air-conditioning system is placed on both sides of the door instead of the middle like most current models.
Another detail that needs to be mentioned in the interior of the XC60 R-Design is its very good soundproofing. Although moving at high speed, the sound of wind or noise was almost absent. People in the car can completely relax in a quiet space.
